22nd Gathering Presenter — Lisa Cobb

We are pleased to announce that Lisa Cobb will be presenting You BEcoming at the 22nd Gathering.

COVID has brought to the surface much for us to release. As a planet, there are many humans who are not comfortable in stillness. Many do not know how to move through their day without outside distractions. What will we do without sports, college, work, health, and our old “normal”? How do we co-create a new way of Being? Living in the illusion of the “other” as being the source of our discontent, has led to an increase in dis-ease.

Lisa’s presentation will focus on tools that she has found to work for releasing the parts of ourselves, our worldviews, and perceptions that no longer serve us. She will introduce Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or Tapping) in combination with Mindfulness and Internal Family Systems ( a therapy technique that works with discrete subpersonalities of the mind). The session will finish with a guided Chakra meditation. Lisa finds that the three techniques are a lovely healing combination!

About Lisa

For her entire life, Lisa could feel the energy of others. In the past two decades, she has thought of herself as a Lightworker and has made a conscious decision to answer the call of the Source (Love and Light) over the call of the Ego (fear). She has wholeheartedly made the decision to make the world a brighter place.

Lisa is a licensed therapist and engaging speaker who teaches her clientele techniques to release limiting beliefs and behaviors impeding upon their emotional and physical “well-Being.”  With over 30 years of experience in a variety of community mental health and public school settings, Lisa has witnessed life-changing transformations—both in herself and in others—when employing the participatory modalities of Mindfulness and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT/Tapping). Lisa is confident, realistic, and humble as she helps those who are ready to make healthier choices in their lives.

Lisa received her Master of Social Work Degree from Eastern Michigan University and her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Michigan State University. She is a Certified Mindfulness Instructor through Mindful Schools. She is a Certified Trainer in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention through Cornell University. In addition to being a Clinical Therapist at PrivaMD, Lisa is a School Social Worker in the Muskegon County, currently serving children and adolescents whose lives are impacted by social and emotional struggles.  You can contact Lisa at [email protected].
