24th Gathering Presenter—Michel Post

Practical Architectural Application of Energy

In this presentation, Michel Post will show examples of how he applies his knowledge of numbers and energy of forms to his architectural designs. He will discuss his fascination with using natural materials and why he feels it is important to use them in building construction. In addition, Michel will also discuss how he evolved as an architect over time as a result of applying the lessons learned from Julian’s and Temier’s classes (and the teachers of those classes).

About Michel Post

After studying architecture at the Technical University in Delft, Michel followed various courses of study (Transition Energy, Reiki, Sacred Geometry, and BioGeometry) in which working with energy is central. As a result of those studies, he developed an increased sensitivity that allows him to perceive the energy of people and their environment. Seen from a holistic perspective, his personal development and his skills as an architect go hand in hand.

As an architect, Michel’s ability to listen, his enthusiasm, and his flexibility stand out. He has a predilection for organic architecture — buildings that evoke an emotion or are simply beautiful to see. On a personal level, Michel is often described as creative, intuitive, loving, caring, intelligent, and a strong communicator. His “smile” always seems to be present. Michel is also a booster and an early adopter, someone who can quickly embrace new ideas and immediately see possibilities to shape and apply those ideas. He is someone who can consciously make a connection between a question and an answer, even if the question is unconscious.

In his professional career, Michel has been active within various organizations that put the well-being of people first. He was the founder and formerly was the chairman of Strobouw Nederland, an association of private individuals and professionals with a passion for building with straw. Michel is the current chairman of Vereniging Integrale Bio-logische Architectuur (Association of Integral Biological Architecture), an organization that supports the development and application of architecture and construction methods that form the basis for healthy building and living, sustainable management of the earth, and the social and spatial well-being of people.
