I believe we are all powerful people.

As Julian has told us many-a-time: power is not domination, it is expression.
This means that the better we learn to express ourselves, our reality, the more powerful we become! It also means that being powerful doesn’t have anything to do with ego ~ the two concepts operate independently from each other.

At the upcoming Gathering there will be time and space set aside at Saturday afternoon to share our individual expressions of who we are. This can be done through short readings for one another, a healing or massage… But is can also be done by showing drawings or paintings. Even by sharing things we have written, like poems or prose.

Some of us may be in search of clarity, or even an answer, while others may want to catch up with others. Or maybe even have some fun experimenting with, for instance, reading tea leaves…

The idea is to create a platform where all can share who we are and what we do, but where we also gather with friends and sip some tea or coffee and possible cookies )

A space where we can find inspiration, or inspire others.

But above all where all of us, being the powerful people we are, can have some fun together!

I thought you might enjoy an update about the folks who have registered for the next Gathering of Light. We are now a group of 35 people, many of whom live in the San Francisco Bay Area. However, we will have at least three people visiting from Michigan, three from Oregon, one from New York and two from Colorado. And then there are those people who are a bit more difficult to label as being from just one place! Take Anne Claire, for example. She is from the Netherlands, and she also resides part of the time in Portland, Oregon. And, she is formerly a part-time resident of California. So, now you are beginning to understand the difficulty with labeling someone as being “from” a particular place!

That’s the latest information about the size of our group. We can continue to take reservations until September 1, as long as the hotel has rooms available. Contact Bonnie (beparadies@gmail.com) if you have any questions.

‘Inspiration’ often is linked to creativity, guidance and bright ideas.

We feel that for us, the Julian teachings have brought plenty of all of the above into our lives, and we would like to share that with others at the next Gathering of Light with an inspiring program that we hope will keep the brightness, creativity and guidance June and Julian have given us flowing in ourselves and in our lives!

We are very happy that Denny Brown and Dr. Hank Tolhurst have agreed to give their perspectives on ‘Inspiring Business’ and ‘Inspiring Healing’. And we aim to inspire manifestation of our individual hopes and dreams with the Alchemical Angel and the bonfire on the beach, Saturday night.

Saturday afternoon will be set aside for Afternoon Tea with Many Hands,Talents & Techniques being Demonstrated. You will read more about this part in a future blog…

The yearly ‘Gathering of Light’ has been started at Julian’s insistence as a platform for those of like mind to get together and to share in a loving environment filled with Light and laughter.

And throughout the years the Gatherings have been set up, starting with an opening, followed by a number of ‘talks’ by those that were willing to share their perspectives or talents with the ‘Community’, and a closing in which all the Light that has been gathered together over the weekend is being spread out again…

Most of the attendees have enjoyed ‘Julian classes’ in the past, or have recently found the Julian Teachings.

Having attended all previous Gathering of Lights, I have come to the conclusion that whether a person is a teacher, gives a ‘talk’, is a counselor, a reader (Tarot, energy, or even tea leaves etc.) or is studying the Julian Teachings as part of their spiritual path ~ all of us have things we can share…
And this is the very thing that makes the Gathering of Light so special!

It has gotten me to think ~ wouldn’t it be great if, at the upcoming twelfth Gathering of Light, there would be a platform where all that are gathered can have a chance to share whatever they are willing to share? To enjoy one-on-one meetings, to catch up with friends, to give or receive a short reading… All while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee.
We have set apart time for this at the Saturday afternoon!

Needless to say, I am very much looking forward to it!!

Bonnie just finished tallying the registration forms for the Gathering and we have a total of 30 people registered to attend. There are three more individuals who are committed but too busy to register yet, so we number about 33 at this point in time.
She wouldn’t be a bit surprised if the final number is 40 or even a few more.

At this moment, Mercury is still retrograde…
Once the retrograde passes, Camille feels we will see a nice jump in numbers!

As I will be traveling from the Netherlands ~ I am starting to check prices for airline tickets! I am looking forward to this Gathering!!

When Bonnie, Karen and I were having our first ‘face~to~face’ meeting on the organization of the upcoming 12th Gathering of Light we met in a small bakery in Campbell, CA. We had already shared ideas via email as to what would be a fitting theme. As our email discussion had progressed, we narrowed our list to only a few workable themes ~ with highlighted aspects of each theme that we could use as a guide to bring the Gathering of Light together. Like a ‘red thread’ that could be followed throughout the weekend, thus making each aspect part of a greater whole.

The theme that we felt most attracted to, as we were talking about it over our coffees, was “Inspire Your Life.” We were still weighing our options, and were about to come to a decision, when a girl walked into the bakery wearing a bright red T~shirt that read: “Inspired.”

We looked at each other and started laughing. We glanced again at the text on the shirt as the girl was putting in her order at the counter. Was this the result of a Higher Force? Was it June or Julian?
In any event, all three of us felt this was the confirmation we needed, and the decision was made quickly! We had the theme for the 12th Gathering of Light:
